Nurturing Values Through Netball
Netball is a dynamic CCA that provides students with opportunities to develop both sporting skills and important values such as resilience, teamwork, and a growth mindset. Through regular training and purposeful skill development, students learn to overcome challenges, support one another and continually strive for improvement.
In a positive and encouraging environment, students build their confidence and learn that progress comes through effort, perseverance, and a willingness to learn from both successes and setbacks.

Building Leadership and Teamwork
Teamwork is at the heart of Netball. Through training, drills and match play, students learn to communicate effectively, trust their teammates and work towards common goals.
Senior players are also given opportunities to guide and mentor their juniors. By sharing their experience, demonstrating skills, and supporting younger players during training, they develop their own leadership and communication skills while helping to build a supportive team culture.
As part of our mentorship efforts, we also invite former Fuhua netballers and their secondary school teams back to Fuhua Primary School for friendly matches and sharing sessions. These opportunities allow our current players to learn from seniors who once trained on the same courts, gain insights into the next stage of their netball journey, and see how the values and skills developed through the CCA can continue beyond primary school.

Opportunities to Compete and Represent the School
From Primary 4 onwards, students may have the opportunity to represent Fuhua Primary School in the National School Games (NSG). Representing the school gives our players the opportunity to put their skills and teamwork into practice in a competitive environment.

Players may also be selected to represent the school at The Netball Academy carnivals, which are held twice a year. These carnivals provide valuable opportunities for students to gain match experience, apply what they have learnt during training, and compete against players from other schools and clubs.

Throughout the year, the team may also take part in friendly matches with other schools. These friendlies allow players to experience different styles of play in a less formal setting, build confidence, and identify areas for improvement before major competitions.

Beyond the results on the court, these experiences teach students to manage pressure, respond positively to setbacks, demonstrate good sportsmanship, and represent the school with pride. Each match becomes an opportunity to learn, reflect and grow together as a team.
Growing Through the Game
At Fuhua, Netball is about more than developing better players. Through training, mentorship, leadership opportunities, friendly matches, carnivals and competitions, we aim to nurture confident and resilient students who support one another and strive to give their best both on and off the court.
