Applied Learning Programme
Applied Learning Programme provides meaningful and purposeful age-appropriate opportunities for real-life application of learning. They allow for experimentation, self-discovery and joy of learning.
STUDENT AS DESIGNER FOR THE 21ST CENTURY
"Student as Designer for the 21st Century" is a 6-year programme that centers on computational thinking, using coding applications and the design thinking protocol to equip our students with the skills to:
-
Decompose – Break down complex problems into smaller, more manageable parts.
-
Recognize Patterns – Identify similarities within and across problems.
-
Abstract – Focus on key information while omitting irrelevant details.
-
Develop Algorithms – Create step-by-step solutions and establish rules to solve problems.
By the end of Primary 6, our students will be able to:
-
Showcase 21st Century Competencies through Computational Thinking and Critical Thinking Skills
-
Build problem-solving abilities for the future
-
Acquire ICT skills essential for the future workforce
-
Contribute to the community by leveraging technology
The diagram illustrates the coding programmes our students undergo from Primary 1 to Primary 6 to develop their computational thinking skills.
